Surfing

Tamarindo, once a "secret spot" among the surfing elite has become a World- famous surfing destination since the filming of "Endless Summer II". Tamarindo has been blessed by consistent swells and off-shore conditions.

Surfers can watch the waves of the Tamarindo river mouth peel right from their terrace and every room in their Villa. There are six excellent surf breaks within a short walk from the Hotel. Secure board storage is provided at no extra charge.

The owner and manager of the Hotel are avid surfers and will help you plan your safari to the many great breaks in and around the Tamarindo area (Langosta, Playa Grande, Avellanas, Little Hawaii, and Playa Negra, Witch's Rock, and Ollie's Point). Sports Fishing

The waters just off Tamarindo are renowned for their World-class sportfishing. They boast a year-round season. Tamarindo waters are teeming with: Marlin, Sailfish, Wahoo, Dorado, Big Tuna and Swordfish. Whether you charter a small "panga" for a few hours or a modern fully rigged Cabin cruiser for several days, the friendly staff at Tamarindo Vista Villas will assist you in arranging the Sportfishing Vacation of your dreams, customized to your tastes and budget. Most of our sportfishing guests put fresh Tuna or Mahi Mahi on their table every day.

Diving and Snorkeling

There are several reefs located directly off of Tamarindo. Our guides will take you to unspoiled diving and or snorkeling destinations with abundant and varied fish and reef life. There are several excellent dive spots within a short boat ride from the Hotel. Also available are dive tours off of nearby Catalina and Bat Islands where you may see Whale Sharks basking or the gentle giant Manta Rays gliding effortlessly.

Swim With The Dolphins In The Wild

Imagine the sheer exuberance of swimming with dolphins in their own habitat. These friendly creatures are more than happy to welcome you to their playground. Golf

Golf has come to Tamarindo in a big way! There are now two 18 Hole Championship Golf Courses to choose from within a short drive from the Resort. The resort has a selection of clubs for rent. Golfing in Costa Rica is indeed a most unique experience. It is not uncommon to see howler monkeys, Iguanas, and a variety of colorful Amazon parrots during your round.
