Due to the remote location, tours involve surf launches and landings. We recommend these tours for those in good physical condition. Climate: Casa Corcovado is located at sea level area, the temperature is 26C (80F), tempered by sea breezes on the coast. And humidity is high.   Location: Casa Corcovado Jungle Lodge is remote tropical rainforest retreat with no telephones in the rooms and no faxes, we have available a cellular phone and a radio directly in the hotel in case of emergencies. Fax machine and phone are available in " La Hacienda". Restrictions: Please limit your luggage to 25 pounds (12kg) per person. Luggage storage service is available at most hotels. Casa Corcovado is not responsible for the excess of your luggage. We reserve the right to change or omit portions of any itinerary, if warranted by inclement weather or sea conditions. What to bring to Casa Corcovado * Two of the most important things to bring to Costa Rica are a pair of BINOCULARS and a field guide (we recommend "Birds of Costa Rica"). They are a must for getting a closer look at wildlife and are available for rent in Casa Corcovado * Sunscreen and insect repellent * Casual clothing for city traveling * Shirts cotton or light synthetic, long and short sleeved * Trousers cotton or light synthetic pants (Jeans not recommended too slow to dry, bring if you want to made horseback riding) * Hiking shorts * Footwear: waterproof light weight hiking shoes, river sandals (Teva-type sandals), tennis shoes/running shoes. Make sure you bring TWO pairs of shoes. As soon as one pair gets wet, use that pair any time to you likely to get your feet wet. Go to any length to keep the other pair dry! * Socks bring extra pairs in case feet get wet * Hat(s) with visor for rain and sun protection * Plastic water bottle especially for hikes * Camera and film * Ziplock plastic bags for spillable toiletries * Extra prescription glasses and medication (if applicable) * Small day pack or fanny pack for hikes * Sweater or Jacket * Underwear * Plastic garbage bags for wet items * Swimwear * Bandannas * Collapsible luggage to store extra items in San José What we have at the Hotel Hiking boots Flashlight. Snorkel equipment available ( fins, snorkel and mask) Beach mats Please limit your luggage to 25 pounds (12kg) per person, luggage storage service is available at most hotels.     What to bring for kids to Casa Corcovado * A good age appropriate book can be anything from a coloring book to a novel * A scrapbook or journal where kids can make note of sightings of special animals, plants or people. Nature books or field guides that explain what they are experiencing can be helpful for older children. * Don't forget the important teddy bear, pillow or blanket to insure restful sleep. * While we have a lot of great snacks in Costa Rica, sometimes it's a good idea to bring a couple packages of the child's favorite snack so that you can surprise him/her with it. * Nail clippers, tweezers, cotton swabs, moist wipes for quick clean ups * Small first aid kit with things for cuts, bruises and bug bites. * Eye drops and ear drops * A camera and film so kids can take their own pictures * Sunscreen, insect repellent and solarcaine * Plenty of cotton t-shirts * Trousers cotton or light synthetic (Jeans are not recommended because they take too long to dry, just in case that you made Horseback riding) * Hiking shorts * Footwear: waterproof, lightweight hiking shows, river sandals (Teva-type sandals), tennis shoes.
