This cheerful restaurant in the heart of San José has been a favorite of mine for many months, it's about time I shared it with you. So far, everyone I have mentioned it to ends up flocking there for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week. It's not surprising that News Café has become such a hit since its inception in the landmark Hotel Presidente. Fronting the pedestrian boulevard on Avenida Central, it provides the respite people seek in the city - great, moderately- priced food in casual, soothing surroundings. The good news becomes better yet, as not only is the interior enlarged, but a covered sidewalk café has been added doubling the current 60-seat capacity.
