The Golden Door to Retirement and Living in Costa Rica
ABOUT THE AUTHORS
The author, Christopher Howard and his collaborator, Lambert James, are fluent Spanish-speaking retirees who together have lived in Costa Rica for over twenty years. During that time they have had the opportunity to gather a great amount of accurate information related to retirement and living in Costa Rica. Therefore, it is not surprising that they have first-hand knowledge and insight into all aspects of Costa Rica's culture, it's people and its government. This book is based on painstaking research on a variety of related subjects and is the culmination of their collective efforts. Chris Howard has an extensive foreign language background having earned a B.A. in Spanish and Latin American studies from the University of California at Los Angeles, and a Master's degree in Spanish from the University of California. He also has a teaching credential to teach Spanish at all levels from California State University, San Francisco. In addition, he was the recipient of scholarships for graduate study at the University of the Americas in Puebla, Mexico and the Jesuit University of Guadalajara, Mexico. He has written two foreign language books and helped start a language institute in San Jose, Costa Rica. Currently, he is compiling information for a book about Costa Rican idioms, his specialty, and writing a highly acclaimed weekly newspaper column for one of Costa Rica's English language newspapers. He is also working on a movie script about Costa Rica.
